Dignity Village ONLY opens its Greenhouse in the winter (November 1st through March 31st) for overnight guests when the City of Portland issues Severe Weather notices, or when the weather is colder than forty degrees and raining. These guests can stay up to three days until they must move on, making space for others to come in off the streets. After four days away, they may return for another stay.
Proof of up-to-date vaccination against COVID is required for entry to Dignity Village.
All other seasons (April 1 through October 31) please do not expect to be given a bed or place to sleep. There is a waiting list for our houses. The rest of the year, the Greenhouse is a greenhouse. Please see our Village Intake Committee Process for details.
