25th Anniversary Birthday Party & Fundraiser September 7th Sunday 11am-5pm
Please save the date! We will be hosting the party at Dignity Village. We plan to have a meal included with the entry ticket price, plus we will have concessions for purchase. CASEY NEILL will be performing!!! Plus we will have a variety of other entertainment including bingo, our history video, founding villagers will be sharing their stories, horseshoes tournament, karaoke, and stay tuned for more details!
Sunderland Neighborhood Cleanup Events
Dignity Village is working in partnership with SOLVE to cleanup the illegal dumping along NE 33rd and help our unhoused neighbors dispose of trash around their campsites. We have cleaned up record-breaking amounts of illegally dumped business waste from our community. Cleanups are happening monthly; contact SOLVE or check out the link below to find out when the next one is coming up.
Advanced Registration: Please sign up ahead of time with SOLVE to ensure we have enough supplies for everyone.
Meeting Location: Volunteers meet in the National Guard parking lot.

What to Bring: If you bring personal belongings please bring a backpack so you can pick up trash hands-free. Dress for the weather, wear closed-toed shoes, and long pants. This event will go on rain or shine so bring a waterproof jacket if the forecast calls for rain.
What’s Provided: SOLVE provides trash grabbers, trash bags, work gloves, and high-vis vests. They also provide water so everyone can stay hydrated!
Parking: There will be free parking available at the National Guard parking lot for volunteers.
Bathrooms: SOLVE does not provide toilets. However, volunteers with proof of vaccination against COVID may use the Dignity Village toilets.
Accessibility: The cleanup area is not easily accessible for folks with mobility concerns.
Youth Volunteers: This will be an 18 and older event due to potential hazardous materials.

Sunderland Neighborhood Homeless Point-In-Time Count
Jan 26th – Feb 2nd 2022
In partnership with JOIN, PSU, and the Joint Office for Homeless Services, Dignity Village will be participating in the P-I-T Count. The annual count and collected surveys determines the amount and types of funding our local governments receive to support houseless people. Each year, houseless populations in Portland are drastically undercounted due to lack of enough volunteers. If you’re interested in helping, especially if you have built trusting relationships with campers our area, you can call our main phone line 503 281-1604 and ask for Avery.
Sunderland Neighborhood Clean-Up

In partnership with the local neighborhood coalition, Dignity Village assisted with trash clean-up and handing out supplies and resources for less-housed/houseless people in the community.

Portland Plunge

Sierra Service Project
March 14 – 25, 2016
Thanks to the Sierra Service Project for spending a couple weeks at Dignity Village, building wheelchair ramps and making repairs on several structures. Their trip happened to coincide with a visit from former Governor John Kitzhaber.
